GAP Prayer Request Line
We all need prayer at some point. So we would like to offer a way for you to submit your prayer requests securely online. If you need prayer or know someone else who needs prayer, you can use our online prayer request and your requests will be sent directly to our GAP line here at St. Joseph the Worker Parish. Your request will be given to over 200 prayer warriors who belong to GAP (God Answers Prayers). So please feel free to use our prayer request form whenever you are in need of prayers for yourself or someone else.
We also pray for your intentions every Sunday with the Divine Mercy Prayer.
To submit your prayer requests or subscribe to the list, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or contact Deacon Mike 503-761-8710 x105.
Children's Play Ministry
Anyone who watches a child at home between the ages of newborn to five years old is invited and welcome to join us. Our children’s play ministry is for all who take care of their children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, or friend’s children. We meet once a week for about an hour on the first, third and fifth Tuesday from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM. The goal is that we get to know and support each other, relax, pray, and provide a fun place for children to play. If you have any questions please call or email Jan Loumena at 503-661-1694, email@example.com.
We have active bible study groups that meet twice a year, one in the fall and one in the spring for 6 weeks. We offer a number of different days and times during the week.
St. Joseph the Worker Parish takes an active role in a variety of Pro Life events and we encourage all parishioners to get involved in some form, even if it is just to pray.
A group of parishioners from St. Josephs' and St. Henrys' meet each Wednesday in front of the Planned Parenthood on SE 50th and Franklin, one block north of Powell and pray 20 decades of the Rosary from 9 am to 10 am. All are welcome to join us.
St. Joseph Parish also participates in the 40 Days for Life Campaign which occurs every spring and fall. 40 Days for Life is a pro-life campaign working to end abortion through prayer and fasting, peaceful vigils outside abortion centers, and community outreach.
If you would like to get involved with any ongoing or upcoming Pro Life event, contact: Kathi Nordlund at 503-760-8429 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
